ChangeDAO joins forces with coalition of artists and Web3 leaders for ARTQUAKE NFT Giving drop in support of earthquake relief in Syria and Turkey

On February 9, 2023, ChangeDAO and a coalition of artists and Web3 leaders joined forces on ARTQUAKE, a collaborative NFT Giving project raising funds for humanitarian relief efforts in response to the devastating earthquakes in Syria and Turkey. Proceeds from the project will support the lifesaving work of Karam Foundation.

ABOUT ARTQUAKE:
On February 6, 2023, a series of earthquakes hit Syria and Turkey, causing massive devastation resulting in thousands of lost lives. Urgent humanitarian assistance is needed to support on the ground relief efforts and to minimize potential casualties.

ARTQUAKE is a collaborative NFT Giving project bringing artists and Web3 leaders together from around the world to raise funds in support of humanitarian organizations working on the ground in Syria and Turkey in response to the earthquake. It is a low-cost blind-mint, with each contributing artist’s work being revealed by them publicly, on their social media. The collection will be revealed all at once upon completion.

ARTQUAKE is a blind mint with a large supply of NFTs available for mint at a price of $7.88 USD in ETH/USDC/DAI. The project will involve contributions from a wide range of NFT artists. Each contributing artist’s work and story announced individually by the artist on their social media as being part of the ARTQUAKE Collection. ChangeDAO will amplify their story.

This storytelling approach gives each powerful story and artwork a chance to be heard by the community and may inspire others to participate — creating a ‘tremor’ of awareness for the greater cause. This will crescendo to a final reveal when collectors will see the artwork randomly assigned to their NFT.

90% of mint proceeds will go to Karam Foundation, along with 2.5% of earned creator royalties to support their work delivering shelter, basic needs, and disaster relief to their team, families, students, and Syrian and Turkish people in need.

Karam Foundation was introduced as the primary benefactor by Kevork Mourad. In response to the recent earthquakes in Syria and Turkey, Karam Foundation is helping to deliver shelter, basic needs, and disaster relief to their team, families, students, and the Syrian and Turkish people in need. Proceeds from both mint sale and earned creator royalties will support Karam Foundation’s lifesaving work in Turkey and Syria right now.
